On being productive

So far, I’ve managed to say away from the Internet for quite a while, the Internet meaning doing absolutely nothing online like playing Facebook poker or something, which is quite hard since my course involves being in front of the computer for long periods of time. Anyway, I give myself about 2-3 hours a day of doing nothing online, to some it may still be a waste of time, but hey it’s a big number of hours reduced! I decided to focus on more productive things plus as pathetic as this may sound, I have ”baggage” online. Yeah, I know right? Pathetic.

I have also started this thing people call socializing, it involves being around groups of people talking about socially acceptable subjects. The socially acceptable part I’m still working on though since the boarding school I pretty much lost my ”socially acceptable” filter. Apparently this thing they call ”socializing” sometimes entail public intoxication, which is another one of my weaknesses. But so far so good, I haven’t done anything that could potentially ruin any kind of reputation or hiring attractiveness.

But so far, life is good. I feel like I have everything back on track again and ”breaking up” with the Internet is doing me good. Productivity level is in an all time high! I even got myself and internship as a result, so I will be in the Philippines for about 4-6 months starting February next year, depending if I plan to spend my summer there as well. At least I have one less thing on my mind, now I’m just focused on passing this semester.

Oh, let me quickly talk about the weather here in Denmark. I use to talk about how Danish rain was nothing compared to what we get in the Philippines. Never, in the 4 years I’ve been living here, have I ever seen this much rain, I don’t know if it’s the whole global warming thing or it’s the part of Denmark I live in, but it rains like how it does at home. Which is strange, usually I could go out without even bringing an umbrella but for the past week it’s been raining soo much and add strong and cold wind into that, I’ve given up on biking to school.

So I’m just wondering, for the 2 of you who still reads this blog, how much time do you actually spend online doing absolutely nothing?

24 hours

07:30 No internet.. What to do??

-Go to school early and use their free internet. When you start looking like a freak sitting in the corner for a couple of hours after class, it might be time to go. +8 hours

-Take the slowest way home. +1hour

-When you  get home make dunch and then eat. +45minutes

-Go to Language centre and pass Danish exam. +2 hours.

-Use the free internet in Language centre until you get kicked out. +20 minutes

-When you get home, eat left over dunch while trying to figure out which homework you need to do. +15 minutes

-Set up desk to create a study environment. +10 minutes

-Make tea. +5 minutes

-Pee. +1 minute

- Clean the bathroom, starting from the shower, to the sink, and finally to the toilet. +1hour

-Programme TV, all the good channels first, then news, then cartoons.. just don’t programme the Swedish or German channels. +30 minutes

-Since you programmed your TV make a channel list, so you know which channel goes with which button. +30 minutes

- Watch TV. +2 hours

-Look at desk and contemplate whether or not to do home work. +0.5 seconds

-Play solitaire. +20 minutes

-Call friend. +17 minutes

-Look at desk again and contemplate whether or not to do homework. +0.05seconds

-Keep playing solitaire +30 minutes.

-Sleep + 5 hours

I really need a hobby or something..
